Who have earned spots in Troy's Premier League Team of the Week?
Each set of English football games this season, football pundit Troy Deeney will give his team and manager of the Week.
Below are the most recent picks. What's your opinion? Share your thoughts via the comments form at the bottom.
Goalkeeper
Alphonse Areola (West Ham): West Ham were close to being six goals down at Bournemouth without him. Massive moment, rose to the occasion and showed top ability. Excellent keeping to secure a 2-2 draw. A loss would have damaged their entire term.
Defensive unit
Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's a contender for player of the season. Fans mention Arsenal's squad. He's been the top performer by a country mile.
Murillo (Nottingham Forest): One would need to be a mad supporter to say 'Murillo nets and we defeat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You'd have got massive odds on that. He performed brilliantly. He is turning into a powerhouse. He is truly a challenge. Pleased to see him playing like last season.
Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I watched him multiple matches the previous season in Italy for AC Milan and he struggled because he was making mistakes. However with the Magpies he's been a monster. He displays really strong and powerful and seems polished. It seems he has secured a perfect fit.
Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not naturally a left-back, leaning towards a attacking-minded offensively. He has proven to be a excellent acquisition for Brighton. Few are astonished at them finding another gem unexpectedly? I thought when they got rid of Pervis Estupinan it was odd but the club is aware more than us.
Engine room
Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Alike in style and they're in for the same reason. Their teams won, everyone will talk about the goalscorers, but absent these individuals the squads falter. They are so good. They break up play, they join the offense.
Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The man of the moment. A lot of followers, including my son, had doubts whether he was the man to lead them to success. A hat-trick in the key match and now they want to erect a monument of him. Goals, composure, he controlled the game. The standout individual on the pitch.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Possibly the only aspect I share with Thomas Tuchel on - he has reached a point now where it is very difficult to drop Morgan Rogers. I felt he began well to the season, In my opinion he acted with some expectation and believed he could secure a transfer to Chelsea, and likely desired it, but he seems to have adapted well. Two great goals in the Leeds match helped his club when trailing. He was the difference maker.
Strikers
Callum Wilson (West Ham): I mentioned he appeared not his typical form. He looked like he'd lost a yard. However, incredible. Simply phenomenal. He performed superbly. Outstanding in his movement and in his dual goals.
Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A really interesting player. He performs strongly, usually better when introduced, but due to Gordon's absence so he is required to feature. He failed to convert a great opportunity against Manchester City at 0-0 with his easiest shot. Yet possessing the inner resilience to place himself into tough scenarios and get a brace was impressive.
Coach
Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He comes in and beats Arne Slot. A excellent strategy. Possibly it was multiple goals for Forest and few would dispute.
