The UK is prepared to move forward with utilizing the entire amount of frozen Russian holdings to aid Ukraine's war effort, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this unified step would escalate tension on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and compel Moscow to participate in talks.

They further noted that the decision would be carried out in tight collaboration with the America.

British restrictions have blocked in excess of £25bn of Russia's assets since Moscow began its full-scale invasion against Ukraine in 2022. However, up to this point, funds sent to the Ukrainian government using Russian funds had only been taken from profits and interest earned on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were in agreement in their goal to advance efforts toward utilizing the total worth of the frozen Moscow's national funds to halt hostilities.

He added that further measures over the next period would heighten the tension on Moscow.

This announcement is subsequent to European Union officials met in Copenhagen last week to debate employing immobilized Russian holdings for a €140bn financial aid to Ukraine.

In the previous month, US President Donald Trump urged G7 allies to confiscate or employ seized Russia's holdings, as reported by news outlets.

The total of frozen Russian assets in the Europe is calculated to be almost €211bn.

The Russian government executed extensive aerial attacks throughout the Ukrainian territory on recently, resulting in electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and several other zones.

Two people were lost their lives and a minimum of 20 people were injured in the attack, authorities in Ukraine reported.

In a message on social media after the strike, Zelensky stated that the premeditated assault aimed at public and utility structures.

"What is required is not mere statements but firm measures - from the United States, the European Union, and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," he emphasized.

"Every sanction decision undermines the Russian war effort," Zelensky wrote, in a different message.

Also on Friday, Zelensky told the press he would press Sir Keir to join the PURL scheme, under which partner nations purchase weapons from the America to provide to Ukraine.

While praising the UK's firm backing for Ukraine, he remarked it should indicate firmly that it would engage in the program, as well as apply additional measures on Moscow.
