David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
